Figaro, the valet of Count Almaviva, is set to marry Susanna, the Countess's maid. But their wedding day gets continually interrupted by misunderstandings and mischief aimed either at delaying the marriage or at thwarting the plans of the Count, who has vowed to seduce the future bride. The result of Mozart and Da Ponte’s first collaboration, this opera inspired by a Beaumarchais comedy features some of the most promising opera artists in the country and is staged by Alain Gauthier
